You’re Invited: Taste and Shop in DTLA
Our mild winter weather makes for the best outdoor exploration in downtown LA. Every Sunday between 10 am and 4 pm, you can go for an epicurean adventure under the So Cal sunshine.
Head to the heart of downtown for Smorgasburg LA, the westernmost outpost of the weekly food fair that originated in Brooklyn, New York. Just a couple miles from The Wayfarer, you can try everything from Baohaus' steamed bun sandwiches to Bumblecrumpets' macarons.
While you’re there, take the opportunity to explore ROW DTLA. This 30-acre historic district is home to interesting retail spots—most of them independently owned—as well as pop-up shops and restaurants. Whatever you seek can be found here: unique gifts, handmade clothing, a pilates class, pottery workshops, gin tastings, even coffee served in waffle cups. Through March 5th, enjoy the whimsical, highly-Instagrammable, dumpling-themed art installations at the Dumpling & Associates pop-up.
You’re also sure to find something fresh at the adjacent 7th Street Produce Market, which is open every morning. Don’t miss these memorable spots for a one-of-a-kind outing in DTLA.
