Summer in the City
As downtown LA begins to reopen just in time for the summer season, we can’t wait to welcome you back to The Wayfarer Hotel. From scenic drives along the Pacific Coast Highway to urban hikes through Griffith Park, there’s still plenty to do and see around town while keeping a safe distance away from crowds during your stay in the city. Here are a few of our favorite ways to experience the area:
Urban Hiking
From Runyon Canyon to Griffith Park, it’s easy to get outdoors and enjoy some fresh air. These inner-city hikes are accessible to everyone while still being away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Work up a sweat, take in sweeping city views, and check these quintessential parks off your to-do list.
Scenic Drives
Embrace the opportunity to drive along scenic routes with less traffic on the roads. Cruise along the iconic Sunset Boulevard to Santa Monica Beach, and catch some sun as you walk along the shore; or opt for the famous Mulholland Scenic Drive, featured in all your favorite Hollywood movies and shows.
Local Eateries
We can’t wait to welcome you back at The Rooftop, Lilly Rose, and Gaslighter soon, but until our on-site eateries reopen enjoy some of the local fare. DTLA restaurants are offering expanded take-out and delivery options to savor al fresco or inside your room. A few of our faves are Bäco Mercat, Little Sister, and Bar Amá. Just don’t forget to swing by Pazzo Gelato for dessert.
