Holiday Happenings in DTLA
‘Tis the season for holiday cheer in sunny Los Angeles! Visitors of all ages will adore these festive DTLA happenings:
L.A. Kings Holiday Ice Rink
Enjoy outdoor ice skating courtesy of the L.A. Kings, our city’s beloved ice hockey team. The pop-up rink will be open from November 30 through January 12 adjacent to Staples Center, home of the L.A. Kings.
Walt Disney Concert Hall
An architectural icon, the Walt Disney Concert Hall hosts holiday concerts throughout December, including “Home Alone” in Concert, John Williams’s heartwarming film score performed live by the LA Philharmonic to the hit Christmas movie; A Chanticleer Christmas, featuring Chanticleer, the Grammy-winning a cappella “orchestra of voices”; Arturo Sandoval Big Band Swinging Holiday, with 10-time Grammy-winning jazz trumpeter Arturo Sandoval; and Holiday Sing-Along, with the Angeles Chorale.
Little Tokyo
The largest Japanese-American community in the US, Little Tokyo is a vibrant enclave that delights visitors with its holiday traditions. Snap a selfie with Shogun Santa, marvel at the Japanese Village Plaza Christmas Tree, and sing along with wandering bands of carolers as you explore this unique DTLA neighborhood.
