Getting Spooky in DTLA
Angelenos will have plenty of opportunities to get spooky this October in DTLA with a mix of one-time and recurring events to celebrate Halloween in style.
Book your reservation for Spooky High Tea & Highballs at Lilly Rose, where, every Wednesday – Sunday afternoon this month, we’ll be serving up bewitching bites and ghoulishly good cocktails.
On Friday and Saturday evenings throughout October, you can catch the gothic-themed dance extravaganza Inferno & Burlesque by the American Ballet Company, an ensemble renowned not only for their superlative choreography, but also for their commitment to perform only to live musical accompaniment.
On Saturday, October 29, throngs of witches, warlocks, and zombies will congregate after dark at the Haunted Little Tokyo Block Party, featuring DJs, a costume contest, food, and, of course, a full bar.
Finally, on Monday, October 31, you can experience the goosebump-inducing virtuosity of organist Clark Wilson at a special Halloween installment of the Film & Music series at the Walt Disney Concert Hall. A master of the massive pipe organ, Clark will accompany a screening of the 1920 silent horror classic The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari, the seminal and surreal German Expressionist film that catapulted actor Conrad Veidt into international superstardom.
