Ease Into Fall

As the days grow shorter and the air turns crisper, it's time to ease into fall in DTLA. September is Bourbon Heritage month, and we’re celebrating with a Bartender Bourbon Battle at the Marina del Rey Hotel on September 16. This lively showdown will see Pacifica Hotels' bar teams, including our own The Wayfarer DTLA, the Marina del Rey Hotel, Jamaica Bay Inn, Redondo Beach Hotel, and The Belamar, compete with their best creations using Makers Mark & Knob Creek Bourbons. Guests are in for a treat with a delightful duo of mini cocktail tastings from all five hotels, paired with carefully curated small bites. Be sure to cast your vote for the night's standout cocktails and see who takes home the bragging rights.

Want a leisurely start to your day? The Rooftop at The Wayfarer DTLA has a newly refreshed brunch menu against a backdrop of city views. Indulge in delectable options like Deviled Eggs adorned with sriracha, bacon bits, blue cheese and green onion. Explore the Enchiladas Chapinas, featuring red beet curtido, beyond meat picadillo, boiled egg, iceberg lettuce, cotija, and corn tostada. Or savor the Calle Ocho Y La Flor Brunch with creole pork loin, fried egg, platano maduro, pickled red onion, and sofrito salsa.

For those thrill-seekers out there, the world-famous Los Angeles Haunted Hayride beckons with its eerie allure. Nestled in the heart of Griffith Park, this iconic event has become a staple of Halloween celebrations in Southern California and kicks off September 22. The Haunted Hayride transforms the tranquil hills into a realm of chilling tales and ghoulish encounters. Visitors board hay-filled wagons, embarking on a journey through a landscape fraught with terrifying surprises and hair-raising spectacles.
