COVID-FRIENDLY DATE IDEAS
Let’s face it, socializing lately has been harder than usual. That doesn’t mean your Valentine’s Day weekend or the rest of the month needs to be spent indoors. Dedicate February to love and explore these romantic socially distanced activities.
Picnic in Griffith Park
Pack a picnic and head to Cathy’s Corner for candy-colored sunsets and picture-perfect views. We know it’s basic, but honestly, so romantic. Even true Angelenos love Griffith Park, including the characters from LA LA Land. Expert tip: pass by Amir’s Garden for dreamy flowers and vegetation.
Bike Los Angeles State Historic Park
Spend the afternoon leisurely riding through 1.2 miles of wildflowers and history. The park was once a fertile basin, and Indigenous Tongva people lived in a village closeby. Break a sweat then cool off with a craft brew at Highland Park Brewery across the street.
Drive-In Movie
Watch a flick at one of Los Angeles's many drive-in movie theaters. For lovers of old Hollywood glam, Drive-In Theatre at the Hollywood Roosevelt has a full lineup of romantic movies ranging from When Harry Met Sally to Breakfast at Tiffany’s.
