July 2019 Immerse Yourself in Contemporary Art at The Broad

Los Angeles may be most well-known for its captivating Hollywood history and film scene, but over the years the city has also become a standout for its love and appreciation of art. The Getty, LACMA—there are beautiful contemporary art museums at every corner of this buzzing city. One of the newest and most beloved—The Broad is just a few blocks from us and totally worth the visit. Known for its diverse and thought-provoking exhibits, the museum houses an impressive collection of permanent galleries along with special, ticketed exhibits that change throughout the year. Now through September, The Broad is showcasing "Soul of a Nation: Art in the Age of Black Power," which shines a light on Black artists from 1963-1983, starting with the Civil Rights movement. Also currently on display, Yayoi Kusama’s Infinity Mirror Room is a stunning installation where you become the art.

Local Tip: Get tickets and special exhibit reservations online before you get here. Dates and times go fast!
