Art for Art's Sake

LA is home to myriad art museums and galleries, but sometimes art tourism can be expensive. This month, art is made more accessible in the City of Angels.

Starting in January, The Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles (MOCA) is permanently dropping admission fees at both of its downtown locations from $15 to $0. While MOCA will remain free to guests, January brings the chance for free admission to dozens of other museums on just one day: Saturday, January 25, 2020. It’s all part of the 15th Annual Museums Free-For-All Day. On that list includes the LACMA, Hammer Museum, and the Natural History Museum, allowing visitors to try to tackle as many cultural institutions as they can in a day. Please note: some special art exhibits may still require tickets.
