A Sun-Soaked July
We know it sounds cliché, but Southern California really does have the best weather, and on the heels of last week’s spectacular Independence Day celebration at Grand Park, we cannot wait to keep soaking up the sun at the many amazing outdoor activities across LA.
On Sundays from 9am-3pm, head over to the Historic Downtown Farmers Market on W. 5th St between S. Spring and S. Broadway to enjoy live music and peruse the freshest local produce, meats, jams, jellies, honey, and tasty ready-to-eat meals from a variety of DTLA vendors. You’ll also have a chance to purchase art, jewelry, candles, and other handmade items from local artists and artisans.
After the Farmers Market, return to the Wayfarer for a bite at The Rooftop restaurant and bar, which is now serving not only stunning views of DTLA, but also a delicious new Executive Chef Brunch Menu that’s sure to satisfy.
Finally, movie buffs can trade sun for stars at Cinespia, an outdoor movie theater that screens Hollywood and cult classics (Showgirls, Pretty in Pink, Jackie Brown, and The Birds are all up later this month) on Fairbanks Lawn, a lush, green expanse within the tranquil Hollywood Forever Cemetery, at 9pm on select Fridays and Saturdays.
