Seaside Shakespeare

The 2019 season of Shakespeare by the Sea kicks off its free, 10-week run on June 13 with The Comedy of Errors, a hilarious tale of mistaken identities, followed by the timeless Henry V, opening June 20. Now in its 22nd year, Shakespeare by the Sea performances take place at nearly two dozen outdoor venues across Southern California, including nearby Virginia Avenue Park in Santa Monica and LA’s Pan Pacific Park, which joins the line-up this year with the staging of Henry V on Sunday, Aug. 11 at 7 pm. Make it even more memorable with premium reserved festival seating (plus cozy blankets), a meet-and-greet with the cast, and a customized Bard’s Box filled with sandwiches, cheese and crackers, fresh fruit, nuts, and bottomless red or white wine, and an intermission dessert bar.
